Harrisburg, PA – This past Tuesday the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) announced its slate of legislative chambers it considers top priorities across the country. The Pennsylvania State Senate Republican majority is one of the chambers the RSLC is committed to helping protect and expand in 2024.
The GOP Senate Majority is coming off a strong 2022 Election cycle that successfully held every Republican seat, including 3 toss-up victories. These seats included the 6th Senate District (SD) with Senator Frank Farry, SD-24 with Senator Tracy Pennycuick, and SD-40 with Senator Rosemary Brown. Last year, Democrats poured significant resources into Pennsylvania to try and flip these toss-up seats that were critical to the Republican Senate majority. However, the Senate Democrats candidates were not able to match the quality of SRCC’s candidates in 2022 in the key toss-up Senate seats. Despite this, SRCC worked diligently to recruit quality candidates throughout the Commonwealth and was able to counter false narratives that Democrats attempted to perpetuate with the funds from their special interest backers.
The Senate Republican Campaign Committee (SRCC) is prepared to deliver results again in 2024 and strengthen the Republican majority in the State Senate with the help of the RSLC.
“Last November, Pennsylvanians spoke loud and clear when they returned a GOP majority to the State Senate,” SRCC Cycle Chairman Senator Dave Argall stated. “Pushing a radical agenda, Democrats have a tough hill to climb this cycle. And Republicans have a terrific slate of Senators up for re-election in 2024 that have proven records delivering for their constituents. With the help of RSLC, Senate Republicans in Pennsylvania are positioning themselves well for next year.”
