Harrisburg, PA – President Biden will be visiting Philadelphia to give his latest “lesson” in Bidenomics. Pennsylvania Democrats will look to President Biden’s agenda as a blueprint to crippling our Commonwealth’s economy and making it difficult for families to make ends meet. Joe Biden’s economic playbook, if introduced in Pennsylvania, will harm our economy further.

Biden’s failed agenda has seen real-wages for Americans drop by 3% and 40-year high inflation rates impacting our economy. Reports show that inflation is costing the average American household hundreds of dollars every month. Will Pennsylvania Senate Democrats stand with President Biden’s failed economic policies?

“The Republican State Senate majority is the last line of defense protecting Pennsylvanians from President Biden’s crushing economic policies,” SRCC Communications Director Michael Straw stated. “PA Senate Republicans have passed meaningful legislation that will curb ‘Bidenomics’ effect on Pennsylvania while Senate Democrats have stood by these failed policies.”

We have already seen the bleak future for Pennsylvania if Democrats were to take over the State Senate and implement their unpopular agenda. It’s nothing more than the President’s Bidenomics:

  • Senate Democrats stood by the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) last year. Now Pennsylvanians are seeing higher utility bills and energy sector job losses due to this policy blunder. In fact, PA Democrats would like to create a severance tax on Pennsylvania energy companies that would only increase costs that would be passed on to consumers.

 

  • PA Senate Republicans stood against Democrat-proposals to increase taxes on Pennsylvanians. Without Republicans holding the line, PA Democrats would have gone along with harmful tax hikes.

 

  • PA Senate Democrats have voted against reforms that would streamline Pennsylvania’s permitting process. These changes would improve the state’s economic climate and help create jobs. Senate Republicans passed these reforms despite Senate Democrat objections.
